These images were taken with a Nikon CoolpiX 990 (3.34Mpx), with the camera in automatic mode (nice and easy!). They remind me of a few things, firstly, there's a scene in the Godfrey Reggio [director] & Phillip Glass [soundtrack] film, koyaanisqatsi. It is a night scene of New York (is it?), with lights coming on and going off in individual windows of the syscrapers and the streams of red and white lights from cars travelling the highway below.

I'm sure there are many artists and photographers working with "light", but in my narrower experience, they remind me of some of my colleague's work - you can see some examples in an online exhibition space that he calls "lifeblood".

Spencer Graham: a masters graduate from Reading University Fine Art department who is obsessed with handling, sculpting and photographing all kinds of light sources, especially artificial light.
Godfrey Reggio: film director of the amazing "Qatsi Trilogy". Incredibly, the first of the trilogy was his debut as a film director.
